1.
Job Designation: Scientist/Engineer-SD (Atmospheric Sciences)
Pay Scale: Rs 15600-39100 (PB-3) + Grade Pay: Rs 6600/- p.m
Educational Qualification: Ph.D. in Atmospheric Science / Meteorology
Desirable: Knowledge in computer programming, image processing and GIS with first class academic records and publications in peer reviewed journals.
Job Duties: Required to work in a multidisciplinary team and will be engaged in education/training/ research and field investigation related to Study of atmospheric dynamics using satellite data, meso-scale models to understand atmospheric phenomena OR Study of synoptic weather events, satellite meteorology and climate models.

Pay Scale: Rs 15600-39100 (PB-3) + Grade Pay: Rs 6600/- p.m
Educational Qualification: Ph.D. in Geology/ Applied Geology/ Geosciences/ Geo technical Engineering
Desirable: Research experience in the Field and Laboratory Investigation (Engineering geology/ Rock mechanics), Remote Sensing, Geostatistics, Computer Programming with first class academic records and publications in peer reviewed journals.
Job Duties: Required to work in a multidisciplinary team and will be engaged in education/training/ research and field investigation related to Engineering geology, Rock and soil parameter characterization, Slope stability assessment and modeling and Hydro-electric project evaluation.

Job Designation: Scientist/Engineer-SD (Ecology)
Pay Scale: Rs 15600-39100 (PB-3) + Grade Pay: Rs 6600/- p.m
Educational Qualification: Ph.D. in Forestry / Ecology / Environmental Science
Desirable: Knowledge/experience in structural and functional analysis of ecosystems, landscape ecology and programming will be given preference. Degree/Diploma in applications of remote sensing and GIS in forest/natural resources monitoring and modelling with first class academic records and publications in peer reviewed journals.
Job Duties: Required to work in a multidisciplinary team and will be engaged in education/training/ research and field investigation related to quantitative forest resource analysis, ecological modeling and landscape ecology.

Educational Qualification: Ph.D in Urban and Regional Planning with B.E./B.Tech. in Civil Engineering or Architecture
Desirable: Degree / Diploma in Remote Sensing & GIS in human settlement analysis and regional planning with first class academic records and publications in peer reviewed journals.
Job Duties: Required to work in a multidisciplinary team and will be engaged in education/training/ research and field investigation related to Urban & Regional planning using remote sensing data, Urban disaster & its implication on socio-economy and solid waste management.

Job Designation: Scientist/Engineer-SC (Geophysics)
Pay Scale: Rs 15600-39100 (PB-3) + Grade Pay: Rs 5400/- p.m
Educational Qualification: M.Sc./M.Tech./M. Sc. (Tech.) (Geophysics) with B.Sc. (Geology and two subjects from Physics/ Mathematics/ Chemistry)
Desirable: Research experience in Field Investigation (Geophysical survey), Remote Sensing, Computer Programming, DGPS survey, Seismology with good first class academic record.
Job Duties: Required to work in a multidisciplinary team and will be engaged in education/training/ research and field investigation related to Remote Sensing and GIS, Seismology, DGPS survey, Mineral exploration, oil/ground water exploration and Geodynamics

Job Designation: Scientist/Engineer-SC (Hydrological modeling)
Pay Scale: Rs 15600-39100 (PB-3) + Grade Pay: Rs 5400/- p.m
Educational Qualification: M.Tech. in Hydrology/ Water Resources with B. Tech. in Civil or Agricultural engineering.
Desirable: Research experience in climate change studies and hydrological modeling along with sufficient experience in computer programming with first class academic record.
Job Duties: Required to work in a multidisciplinary team and will be engaged in education/training/ research and field investigation related to hydrological processes and modeling, Impact of climate change on hydrology and GCM/RCM Downscaling.

Job Designation: Scientist/Engineer – SC ( Geoinformatics)
Pay Scale: Rs 15600-39100 (PB-3) + Grade Pay: Rs 5400/- p.m
Educational Qualification: M.Sc. / M.Tech. in Geoinformatics/ Geomatics
Desirable: B.Tech in Computer Science/Electronics & communication engineering. Experience in research in frontier areas of geoinformatics and knowledge in computer programming.
Job Duties: Required to work in a multidisciplinary team and will be engaged in education/training and high end research in advanced areas of geoinformatics and related disciplines.
